DeltaV Batch is based on the ISA 88.01 batch standard - providing flexibility for agile manufacturing to meet real–time demands. Whether it is the physical model, procedural model, or easy–to–use class–based model, the DeltaV system is built for batch from the ground up.
DeltaV Batch ensures proper process sequencing and automatically captures comprehensive records for regulatory compliance. Additionally, the embedded electronic signature functionality meets the stringent requirements of the FDA 21CFR11. The DeltaV system's version control and audit trail functionality within the engineering environment automatically tracks changes and ensures proper authorization.
DeltaV Batch is modular and scalable. This S88–compliant structure enables you to develop a library of software modules that can be reused – significantly reducing testing. The batch functionality can easily be scaled from pilot prototype to production with the ability to control multi–product, multi–stream recipes that span across controllers.
All batch control logic for a unit, including phases, is executed in the DeltaV controllers. Batch Executive is the engine which coordinates all batch processing activity, creates detailed batch history records and schedules recipes and resources. Recipe Studio is a powerful yet simple–to–use application for recipe configuration. Campaign Manager manages the recipe, formula, equipment, and number of batches that are to be run within the campaign. And the Batch Historian automatically collects and displays recipe execution and process management event data, and the History Analysis application enables web–based access to this information from anywhere. Recipe Exchange provides an open, programmatic interface to the DeltaV recipe management system. Recipe Exchange is based on an XML schema that provides the ability to programmatically import and export DeltaV recipes. All of this functionality can also be provided via a web service.
